Lacrosse Teams Ended Week 6-0

Tuesday night, March 27, had the Varsity squad facing off against district rival Dutchtown. There was frequent rain throughout a very muddy game which saw the score in a 9-9 tie at the end of regulation. Early in the overtime period Baylor Schexnyder scooped up a misplayed ball by Dutchtown taking it the length of the field before feeding Grant Langley for a dramatic 10-9 victory. John Kellner dominated the scoring with four goals followed by Langley with three and Hayden Case with two.

The Varsity squad was busy all weekend as well. Saturday was senior day and the Bears beat St. Paulí´s 4-3 in a shortened game format led again by John Kellner with 2 goals. Sunday they completed the weekí´s sweep with a 9-3 victory over the Lafayette Lions. Scoring was led by Hayden Case with three followed by Kellner who continued his hot steak with another two goals.

The rain that drenched the varsity squad at Dutchtown on Tuesday night intensified by the second game and resulted in a disappointing rainout for the JV squad. However, the JV squad followed with a dominating weekend. The Bears defeated Kipp Renaissance by a score of 10-1 on Saturday.
Taylor Boyle led the scoring with three goals while Garret Harvey and Tyler Chauncey each scored two. On Sunday in Lafayette their dominance continued with a 13-3 victory. Taylor Boyle, Ryan Sandifer and Dillon Heflin each scored three goals.

The Freshmen Bears had only one game this weekend and they shut out the Kipp Renaissance squad with a 5-0 victory. Scoring came from five different players including Jon Adam Town who scored his first goal of the season.
