Luis Alexander Signs To Wrestle at Collegiate Level

Senior Luis Alexander has committed to Washington and Lee University to wrestle.

Alexander, who is in the 135 lb. weight-class, is a four-year letterman and is a three-time city champion. He finished as state runner-up his junior year and came in third place his sophomore and senior years. Finishing his senior year with a 50-7 record, Alexander is third for most career wins at Catholic High School with 159 total wins.

‘I chose Washington and Lee for its academics and people. It is a nice school with a nice campus and seemed to fit my personality,’ commented Alexander.

"Luis is one of the best wrestler’s we have ever had here at CHS. Luis is the first wrestler whom I have coached to go on and wrestle at the next lever so it is very special," commented Coach Tommy Prochaska.

Alexander is the son of Elba and Albert Alexander and plans to major in pre-med.
