Men’s Club Hosts 73rd Annual Stag Barbecue
The Catholic High Men’s Club hosted the 73rd Annual Stag Barbecue October 11, 2008 from 6 to 10 p.m. in the CHS Union and courtyard.
Wayne Dugas, chair and past Men’s Club president, oversaw production of more than 1800 steak dinners. Alums and friends of CHS who attended renewed acquaintances and enjoyed football on big screen televisions.
The Men’s Club raises money though the efforts of the Barbecue, the $13,000 raffle and membership dues. The money is used to support the school with a financial gift and to sponsor the monthly hamburger suppers for students and their dads, the Senior Supper co-sponsored with the Mothers’ Club, the Faculty Appreciation Dinner and other service projects. The Men’s Club also has made possible for the past 20 years the live broadcast of CHS football games.
