Monsignor William Greene ’42 Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Catholic High Alumni, Monsignor William íÍBillíñ Greene í´42, celebrated his 60th Anniversary as a priest on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at the St. Josephí´s Academy Chapel.

Monsignor Greene was ordained on June 3, 1950 in St. Louis Cathedral.  Following his transfer to St. Joseph Cathedral in 1961, Greene spent the next 40 years serving Our Lady of Mercy as associate; St. Piux X Parish as founding pastor; St. Thomas More as pastor; Our Lady of Mount Carmel/Our Lady of Perpetual Help in St. Francisville and Jackson as pastor.  Monsignor Greene retired in 1999. 

In his retirement, Monsignor Greene continues to assist parishes in Masses as well as work on his third book.
