More than 200 Guests Attend Men’s Club Guys’ Night Out To Hear CHS Alumnus And LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward ’81

The CHS Men’s Club hosted its second Guys’ Night Out of the year with more than 200 guests attending the event. The evening was filled with good food (smoked pork roast with rice dressing and all the fixings) and great fellowship. CHS alumnus and LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward ‘81, was the featured speaker for the evening.

In his presentation, Woodward talked about LSU’s incredible football season and national championship, and the exciting initiatives on the horizon for LSU athletics as well as some of the bigger issues facing college athletics today. Woodward reminisced about his time at Catholic High School, giving credit to CHS coach Pete Boudreaux ’59 and Sister Katie for the impact they had on his life while a student at CHS. He also took time to single out CHS alumnus and standout LSU running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire ’17, for his accomplishments, not only on the field, but his character and how he has represented both LSU and Catholic High School off the field. At the end of the evening, Woodward was made an honorary Lifetime Member of the CHS Men’s Club.

The Men’s Club’s next big event will be its annual $13,000 Raffle Party on Friday, April 3, in the CHS Union. It will be an evening of good food, live music and great fellowship. Some lucky winner will also walk away with the grand prize of $10,000. Purchase your raffle tickets here. Only 500 tickets will be sold and they are going fast!
