Mothers’ Club Auction a Huge Success

The 31st annual CHS Mothersí´ Club Auction, held on Saturday, March 19th at the Louisiana State Museum was a huge success!  Nearly 400 guests enjoyed a night of music, laughter, great food, cocktails and conversation at this exciting venue.

The crowd enjoyed the live music of Storywood on the covered, candle lit plaza in the shadow of the State Capital.  Inside, the mood was festive as guests bid on the abundance of silent auction items, sampled delicious food, satisfied their íÍsweet toothíñ with cakes and pastries provided by
Mrs. Melanie McRoberts.  Catering for food was provided by Heirloom Cuisine.

Throughout the night, the sound of cheering and laughter could be heard from the wine-toss corner where some lucky challenger had íÍrungíñ a bottle of wine.  This year, the wine toss was sponsored by Maxwellí´s Market.

Many of the attendees took advantage of the opportunity to visit the exhibits in the museum throughout the evening.

Master of Ceremonies, Jamie Wax entertained the crowd and assisted auctioneer Brian Fourroux during the live auction.

At the conclusion of the Live Auction participants lifted their glasses with a champagne toast to the Mothersí´ Club.  The lucky winner of the stunning orange sapphire and diamond ring designed and donated by Jules Madere Creative Jewelers was Ren_e Tullier. The champagne raffle was provided by Jubaní´s.

To end this fabulous evening, the 2011 Toyota Camry, provided by Price LeBlanc Toyota Lexus, was awarded to Aireen Tan.

Special thanks to this yearí´s Auction Chairman, Beverly Shaw, and her assistant, Stacie Bemis, for overseeing this spectacular event!
