Pete Boudreaux Named Boys National High School Track & Field Coach Of The Year

Long-time CHS coach and Grizzly Great Athletic Hall of Famer Pete Boudreaux was named the 2016 Boys National High School Track & Field Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Since its inception, the National High School Track & Field Coach of the Year award has recognized the best in the prep ranks. In August, Boudreaux was named the Boys High School Track & Field Coach of the Year for Louisiana. Boudreaux was selected as the National winner by an esteemed panel from the original pool of state-by-state winners and based upon the performance of the Catholic High School team throughout the 2016 season and is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the student athletes, the coaching staff and the administration of the school.

In the 2016 Track & Field season, the Bears captured the district and regional championships, making it Boudreaux’s 39th career district win and 24th career regional win. Boudreaux also lead his team to their fourth consecutive Louisiana State High School Athletic Association Class 5A state title.
