Robotics Team Competes in Autonomous Robotics Competition

Members of the Catholic Robotics Team placed among the top 10 teams in the Regional Autonomous Robotics Competition (RARC) in Bossier City, LA. RARC is sponsored by NICERC, a division of the Cyber Innovation Center in Shreveport, which promotes opportunities in STEM and cyber education.

The team had to design, build and program a robot to determine a path to collect the most resources. In the competition, the team used line following techniques to collect binder clips that were worth various amount of points based on their locations on the map. 

Bear Metal team members competing in the RARC contest include Michael Krzystowczyk, Nicholas Mueller, Jeremy Sapia, Douglas Saucier, Stephen Vince and Seth Williamson.  Mrs. Sheri Schoonmaker served as moderator for this competition.
