Russell Joey Coco ’95 Honored As 2018 CHS Distinguished Graduate
Catholic High School alumnus Russell Joey Coco ‘95 was honored by the Diocese of Baton Rouge as Catholic High School’s 2018 Distinguished Graduate during its annual Distinguished Graduate Awards Dinner on Jan. 29, at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel.
Coco is an active member of the CHS Alumni Board and often volunteers for CHS projects. He has won numerous awards from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and was named by the Baton Rouge Business Report as one of the ‘Forty Under 40’ recipients in 2011.
“An indomitable desire and drive to succeed have always characterized Joe,” said Vicki Melancon of CHS. “He is relentless in working to achieve his goals – both personal and professional and that makes him an excellent role model for young people today.”
Catholic High School counselor Brother Ray Hebert, S.C., was also recognized by the Catholic Schools Office as the Distinguished Clergy Member of the Year.
