Senior Cade Cooper Earns The Rank Of Eagle Scout
CHS senior Cade Cooper earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 490 on April 26, 2018. To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a Scout must progress through six ranks, earn a minimum of 21 merit badges, serve in several leadership positions within his troop and provide service to the community. In addition, a Scout must plan, develop and give leadership to a service project for a religious or community organization. For his service project, Cade led his troop in the building of a “Music Wall” for the St. Jean Vianney Preschool playground. The Music Wall is a great addition to the playground and the children have been excitedly exploring their new found musical talents.
Through the Scouts, Cade has had the opportunity to attend National Jamboree in Summit Bechtel Reserve, West Virginia, Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico plus scouting trips to West Texas, Georgia and Talladega.
