Senior Sam Gianfala Is The 2017 Wendy’s High School Heisman Program Winner
CHS senior Sam Gianfala was selected as the school winner in the 2017 WendyÕs High School Heisman program. This program was created by WendyÕs founder Dave Thomas in 1994 and honors high school scholar-athletes for excellence in the classroom and in sports.
Gianfala, who is a valuable member of the CHS swim team, has also been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program as a National Merit Commended student and has been named an AP Scholar. Gianfala is the president of the Spanish club and a member of the Drama Club, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society. He joins other previous CHS winners such as Lance Rodriguez ’17 (swimming), Chris Handy Õ12 (track), Joe St. Cyr Õ13 (track & cross country), Alex Goay Õ14 (swimming), Josh Campbell Õ15 (soccer) and Chase Brouillette Õ16 (swimming).
