Soccer Bears Represent At LHSCA All-Star Game

Catholic High School’s soccer program continued a long-standing tradition of having its top players recognized on a state-wide level.

The Bears, who won their fifth consecutive district championship and reached the Division I state regional playoffs, were represented in Saturday’s Louisiana High School Coaches Association’s all-star game by senior goalkeeper Patrick Riley and center back Eli Weathers.

The game, which was held at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s soccer complex, was comprised of the state’s top 42 seniors with Riley and Weathers representing the East squad which took a 6-1 victory over their counterparts from the West.

Congratulations to these outstanding young men.
