Soccer Team Competes in St. Amant Tournament

The CHS Varsity Soccer team competed in the St. Amant tournament on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24. The team finished with two wins and one draw.

The Bears opened up the tournament with a 2-1 win against East St. John.  Hayden Hunt and Ben Westra scored goals for CHS with help of assists by Andrew Thriffiley and Josh Campbell.

The Bears then tied in a scoreless game against Hahnville. The Bears were led by three crucial saves from Connor Rabalais.

Finally, the Bears defeated Destrehan 3-1 on Sunday, November 24. Richard Pellman, Andrew Wilson and Sam Schexnayder scored goals for the Bears with assists from Sam Schexnayder and Kilian Neames. Connor Rabalais made three saves.

The soccer Bears will play against Baton Rouge High on Wednesday, December 4 at Baton Rouge High School. Varsity will play at 6 p.m., and JV will follow at 7:30 p.m.
