Soccer Team Goes 2-0-1 in St. Amant Invitational

The Catholic High soccer team went 2-0-1 in the St. Amant Invitational Tournament.  The Bears’ record is now 3-0-1 on the young season. 

The Bears opened play in Gonzales with a 1-1 tie versus Central Lafourche, the 12th ranked team in Division II.  CHS finished tourney play with victories over Hammond (2-1) and Comeaux (4-1), both Division I opponents.

Goal scorers on the weekend were Matt Morales and Max Trapp with two each, and Cole Cazenave, Michael Focht and Michael LaBas each chipped in a goal.

The soccer team hits the pitch again “on the turf” at Catholic High versus Dutchtown in the district opener on Wednesday, Dec. 2.  Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
