Student Council Receives Many Honors at LASC Convention

The CHS Student Council participated in the LASC Convention in Shreveport this past weekend.  Catholic High received many honors during the convention.

Kristian Jessen was elected to represent Catholic High as the President of the Louisiana Association of Student Councils for 2010. 

The student council also entered a video into the LASC Commercial Contest.  The video, written and directed by Christopher Weimer, won 1st place.

The council also received 2nd place honors for donating the 2nd largest amount of money to the LASC charity, Shiners’ Hospital.

CHS Student Council Moderator Fiona Conroy was also selected as the LASC High School Advisor of the Year, she will now compete for the National Association of Student Council Advisors of the Year.

Members attending and assisting with the victory were Trenton Ball, Joe Gipson, Steven Spedale, Jacob Knight, Sean Woolworth, Christopher Weimer, Andrew Pecue, Kristian Jessen, Matthew Landry, Chase Zumo, William Duhe, Scott Landry and Ben Jumonville.
