Students Celebrate Catholic Schools Week
Catholic High students gathered for a Mass to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. The theme, íÍCatholic Schools í Dividends for Life,íñ reflects the many blessing that a Catholic school education provides students.
Following the Mass, Principal Brother Barry Landry, SC recognized CHS Distinguished Graduate Brother Chris Sweeney, SC ’84, who will be honored at a Diocesan Banquet February 2. Mr. Michael Acaldo íî85, director of the Society of St. Vincentí´s de Paul, spoke to the student body about the importance of service to others.
Throughout Catholic Schools Week, January 31-February 6, students read morning prayers that define the many ways character, compassion and values define the world of learning in Catholic schools. On Wednesday, cake will be served to students in the cafeteria.
