Students Participate in Mission Trip and Habitat for Humanity
CHS and SJA students participate annually in mission trips to St. Ann’s Mission in Klagetoh, Arizona and Habitat for Humanity.
In Klagetoh, the students run a bible school for Navajo children during the day and participate in Native American cultural activities during the evenings.
“It was a great experience. It gave me a chance to take in a new culture and to not take for granted all of the opportunities I have. Also, the kids really opened up to us and enjoyed everything, no matter what is was,” commented Kyle Melancon ’10.
Students also have an opportunity during the spring to participate in Habitat for Humanity. Students will spend weekends throughout February and March building homes for families.
Students interested in participating in the mission trip to Klagetoh can pick up applications outside the Campus Ministry Office in the Library. Deadline to turn in the applications is Friday, February 12. Students interested in participating in Habitat for Humanity can find additional information on Edline or can contact Mr. Greg Sollie or Mr. Doug Logsden.
