Students Recognized at 2017 Academic Convocation
Catholic High School recognized students at the Academic Convocation on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, for their achievements in academic excellence.
First honors certificates and pins were given to students who have maintained a cumulative 3.5 grade point average, and highest honors certificates and pins were given to students who have maintained a cumulative 4.0 grade point average. Special awards were also given to Nationally Recognized students, Cyber Discovery participants, and for achievements at National Latin Exam and State Rally. Grant Alumbaugh, Hunter Doiron and Philip Tullier were honored for earning the Summa Cum Laude certificate and gold medal for the National Latin Exam, as well as achieving a perfect score. This is TullierÕs second year in a row to achieve a perfect score.
Brandon Beale Õ18, Nathan Constant Õ18 and Jacob Routier Õ18 received the Brent David Pecue Ô80 Memorial Scholarship, and Michael Crick Õ18 received the Jordan T. ÒJordyÓ Rourke Ô06 Memorial Scholarship. The recipient of the F. Wayne Frey Õ71 and Marjorie ÒGrammyÓ Frey Memorial Endowed Scholarship was Ivey Smith Õ18. The Brother Adrian Gaudin, SC Scribe Memorial Endowed Scholarship, established by the Gaudin Family, was awarded to Grant Telhiard Õ18.
Seven seniors were recognized for having a 4.0 cumulative GPA. Those recognized were Ryan Aultman, Landon Boeneke, Stephen Gaudin, Gabe Hardy, Adam Langlois, Khoivu Nguyen and Miles San Soucie.
