Students Recognized At Leadership Convocation

Student leaders were honored at the Leadership Convocation Monday, April 24, 2017. Catholic High senior Andrew Schoonmaker, president of B.A.D.D., led the opening prayer. 

CHS faculty members Charles Jumonville and Scott Manning introduced club officers and their moderators who presented the officers with certificates and pins. Nancy Herin, director of student activities, presented certificates and pins to district, regional and state officers, Honor Board officers and the Student Council officers for 2016-2017. Also honored were members of the Honor Band, Honor Choir and District Rally winners. 

CHS Principal Lisa Harvey and Dr. Tom Eldringhoff, assistant principal for discipline, presented special awards to Jacob Routier, Woodmen of the World; Adam Langlois, Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award; Khoivu Nguyen, Rensselaer Medalist Award; Ryan Aultman, The Tulane Book Award; and Patrick Riley, Baton Rouge State Fair Foundation Student Volunteer Award. Michael deGraauw and Jeremy Gipson were awarded the Barefoot Pedals Foundation Scholarship. Senior Ezra Grant was awarded the Knights of Columbus Patriotic Award.

Carter Hunt, co-president of the chorus, led the closing prayer.
