Swimmer Colin Bone ’16 Named Boy Athlete of the Year by The Advocate
CHS graduate Colin Bone í´16 was named Boy Athlete of the Year by The Advocate. Bone is the fourth CHS athlete to win this award and the first boy swimmer to win the award from any school.
Bone holds five LHSAA composite/all classes state records, has earned All-American status and is a four-time All-Metro MVP. Bone is also the first Louisiana high school boy in the last 20 years who has qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials (100-meter and 200 freestyles).
Catholic High had six student athletes honored as The Advocate‘s 2016 Star of Stars. Recent graduates Jeffrey Kelley (cross country), Colin Bone (swimming), Josh Smith (baseball) and Jace Attuso (track) were honored as boys sport-by-sport star players. Also honored as a star in their sports were junior Austin Bertrand (bowling) and sophomore Nick Watson (tennis).
