Twelve CHS Seniors Receive Catholic Youth Leadership Award
Twelve CHS seniors were recognized as Catholic Youth Leaders by the Knights of Columbus at the Area F Founderí´s Banquet on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Each council recognized one boy and one girl. This recognition is given to young Catholic adults who have well exemplified Catholic leadership in their community and outstanding achievements in high school. Each student recognized will receive a scholarship from the Knights of Columbus council that selected them.
CHS students recognized were Matthew Adler, Corey Brignac, Greer Gardner, Gunter Gaupp, Brennan McLean, Patrick McLean, Chris Miller, Alex Monistere, Kyle Robichaux, Patrick Tangney, Ryan Toups, and Bradley Vutera. At each level of competition, an award is presented to the winning boy and girl. Matthew Adler was selected to advance to the state competition as the 2012 Area F male winner and will receive an additional scholarship for this recognition.
Jack Holloway, a 2011 graduate of Catholic High School, attended the banquet as a guest speaker. Jack was the 2011 Area F male winner, who was selected to advance to the state competition last year.
