Twenty-Two Students Selected to District IV Honor Choir

Twenty-two students auditioned this past Saturday and were selected to the District IV Honor Choir.  Catholic High has the most participants of any other school in our district. Selected to the District IV Honor Choir were Daniel Babin, Johnny Ballance, Tristyn Bemis, Julian Bernard, Thomas Bienvenu, Ryan Blanchfield, Grant Borne, Joseph DeLaune, Dex Ellis, Ross Fontenot, Carson Garand, Kyle Hidalgo, Matthew Johnson, Mak Kruse, Dale Melancon, Brian Primeaux, T.J. Thigpen, George Troxell, Travis Vermaelen, Andrew Vincent, Kevin Ward and Jonathan Zeringue.

Twelve students now qualify to move on to the 2nd round All-State auditions in Pineville, Louisiana in October.  This is the most choir students Catholic High has ever sent to the 2nd round auditions.
Qualifying for the 2nd Round were Daniel Babin, Johnny Ballance, Ryan Blanchfield, Joseph DeLaune, Ross Fontenot, Carson Garand, Matthew Johnson, Mak Kruse, Dale Melancon, Travis Vermaelen, Andrew Vincent and Kevin Ward.

Catholic High and St. Joseph’s Academy has a total of 20 students.  The next highest number of students was eight from Baton Rouge High.
