Two Seniors Sign To Play Collegiate Sports
Seniors Chance Stephens and Chris Bordelon have signed to play collegiate sports for the fall of 2014.
Stephens has signed to run Track at Mississippi State.
While at CHS, Stephens was a member of three state championship teams (2011, 2012 and 2013 and, individually, placed third in indoor and outdoor track. In 2013, he was named to the LTFCA All-State Team.
íÍI chose Mississippi State because they showed interest in me early on. They saw me as I progressed. After touring the facilities and campus, it felt like home. And, it helped that my dad had gone to school there too,íñ commented Stephens.
Stephens is the son of Ronnie and Amy Stephens and plans to major in Kineseology.
Bordelon has signed to play Soccer for Coker College.
While playing for the Bears, Bordelon’s team won three district championships. He was also named All-District and second team All-Metro. In his four years on the team, he had 27 goals and was a four year letterman.
“I had met the coach two years ago and felt that the style of his program fit me perfectly,” commented Bordelon.
Bordelon is the son of Steven and Geraldine Bordelon and plans to major in Kineseology.
