Two Students Earn Eagle Scout Ranking
Catholic High School students Nicholas Caruso and Matthew Browning have earned the title of Eagle Scout. Only one in 99 scouts reaches this rank.
To earn Eagle Scout ranking, a scout must earn 21 required merit badges as well as complete a service project for a non-profit organization.
They join many current and former Catholic High students who have obtained Eagle Scout ranking.
Carusoí´s Eagle Scout project benefited a handicapped woman who needed a wheelchair ramp at her home. He oversaw the construction in conjunction with Catholic Charities.
Browning’s project benefited the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit of Baton Rouge, where he oversaw the construction of new Stations of the Cross and the rehabilitation of the walking paths in the churchí´s Meditation Garden.
Caruso and Browning are members of Troop 888 at St. Andrewí´s Methodist Church & Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
