Varsity Football Players Named to Academic All-State Team

Fifteen seniors from Catholic High School’s varsity football team have been named to the Academic All-State Team for the 2008 season. This honor is given to individuals who have earned extremely high scholastic grades during their first three years of high school.

Robert Brown and Jeremy Mannino were named to the 2008 Composite Academic All-State Football Team. Members of this team represent student-athletes who have accumulated the highest grade point averages from the five classifications in football.

Chosen to the 2008 Class 5A 1st Team Offensive Academic All-State Team were Guard Kramer Sherman and Tackle Brennan Herrmann.
Chosen to the 2008 Class 5A 1st Team Defensive Academic All-State Team were Defensive Back Robert Brown, Tackle Jeremy Mannino, and End Matthew Briggs.

Players named to the Class 5A Academic Honorable Mention Team were Cody Menard, Bennett Caldwell, Ross Goodrum, Adam Talley, Christopher Forestier, Scott Kleinpeter, Colin McGinty and Hayden Dumestre.
