Varsity Football Players Named to the Academic All-State Team for 2005

Seniors from Catholic High School’s varsity football team have been named to the Academic All-State Team for the 2005 season. This honor is given to individuals who have excelled in the classroom as well as on the field. Chosen seniors must have maintained a minimum 3.0 grade point average for their three previous years of school.

Chosen to the 2005 Academic All-State Team are Justin Mannino, Composite All-State ‘ tackle; Mark Donald, 5A 1st Team ‘ tackle; Alex Baronich, 5A 1st Team ‘ running back; David Bayard, 5A Honorable Mention ‘ guard; Julius Fleming, 5A Honorable Mention ‘ running back; Joel Taylor, 5A Honorable Mention ‘ defensive tackle; Michael Coulon, 5A Honorable Mention ‘ line backer; Byron Washington, 5A Honorable Mention ‘ defensive back; and Brandon Rolfsen, 5A Honorable Mention – wide receiver

Julius Fleming and Jason Peters were also selected to the First Team Coaches All-State Football Team.
