Winter Sports Continue During Holiday Break

While school is out for the holidays, winter sports will stay in action. CHS Basketball, Wrestling and Soccer have busy schedules coming up.

The Basketball team will begin the Christmas break with the Silent Night game against Central High on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014. The game will be broadcast live through the Bruin Broadcast Network from the CHS Gym. Tip-off is at 7:15. Next on their schedule, the Bears will host Teurlings Catholic on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at 7:15 p.m. in the CHS Gym. CHS will then travel to Denham Springs on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, for a 7:15 tip-off. Finally, the Bears will host Thibodaux for the CSAL Night on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at 7:15 p.m. This game will also be streamed live through the Bruin Broadcast Network from the CHS Gym. CHS Wrestling will be just as busy but doing a lot more traveling. They will start the holiday break off with duals in Fort Walton, Florida, on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014. Next, they will meet on Monday, Dec. 29, at the River Center for the Bayou Duals. Lastly, the Bears will travel to Hoover, Alabama, for the Hoover Invitational.

The Soccer team will also be traveling during the break starting Friday, Dec. 19 when they travel to Dutchtown for a game at 6 p.m. CHS Soccer is currently ranked eighth with a record of 4-0-3. On Saturday, Dec. 27, the Bears will travel to St. Paul, the number one ranked team, for the St. Paul Tournament. The finish off, they will travel to Lafayette on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, for a 1 p.m. match-up.
