Peter Henry To Swim at Centenary College
CHS Senior Peter Henry has committed to Centenary College to swim and has accepted an athletic and academic scholarship.
Henry is a two-year letterman at Catholic High and was the state champion in the 100 free style. He was named to the All Metro team his junior and senior years. Henry was part of the CHS swim team that took state runner-up honors in 2006 and 2007.
‘I chose Centenary because of the excellent education and because I wanted to attend a smaller college,’ commented Henry.
According to Henry, the incoming freshmen class of swimmers is a very talented group. To accommodate these swimmers, Centenary has decided to start a junior varsity team next year. Centenary is a Division I school.
Henry plans to swim the 100 fly and 200 fly for Centenary.
Henry is the son of Peter and Tarlyn Henry and plans to major in engineering.
