Three Seniors Sign To Play Collegiate Sports
Three seniors have signed to play collegiate sports. Arthur Price will run track at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette; Brennan LeBlanc will play golf for Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida; and Matthew Jakuback will play golf at Loyola University.
Price has been a member of three state title teams, was named All-Metro, LHSAA composite in the 4×2 and 4×1 relays and was district runner-up.
“I chose ULL because the coaches were supportive like the coaches at Catholic High and it was close to my family,” commented Price.
Price plans to major in Chemical Engineering. He is the son of Joycelyn and Arthur Price Jr.
LeBlanc was All-Metro his sophomore, junior and senior years, district champ his sophomore year,
second in District his junior year and a three-year letterman.
“I chose Lynn because it has a good program. It’s a good school and I liked the location,” commented LeBlanc.
LeBlanc plans to major in Business Management. He is the son of Jolie and Brent LeBlanc.
Jakuback is a three time letterman and has helped his team to three straight Regional and District Championship titles, and two runner-up finishes in the 5-A State Tournament. He has amassed a total of 11 top ten finishes out of 14 starts, including winning the 2013 Strawberry Classic presented by Mizuno. He had runner up finishes in both the All-Metro Tournament in Baton Rouge in 2014, and in the All-District tournament of his 2013 year.

Jakuback plans to major in Art Studies. He is the son of Karen and John Jakuback.
