Warrick Dunn Invites Fellow CHS Alumni to Fundraising Reception

Catholic High alumnus Warrick Dunn invites fellow CHS alumni to the unveiling of the Betty’s Hope bus and a fundraising reception following the unveiling.

The official launch of Betty’s Hope is on Monday, July 16 in Town Square downtown Baton Rouge on North Blvd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The fundraising reception following the official launch will be on Tuesday, July 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Kress Gallery on Third St.

Betty’s Hope is a mobile children’s bereavement outreach program started by Dunn and Warrick Dunn Charities in honor of his mother, Betty, a police officer killed on the job, and the struggles Dunn and his siblings went through after the loss of their mother. Dunn recognizes that the challenges in his childhood are just a part of the story of his life, and he wants all children who suffer hardship to understand the same.  The goal of Betty’s Hope is “giving kids in our community a safe place to heal” through outreach, resources and support.

To RSVP, contact Sevetri Wilson: sevetri@sgicares.com. The RSVP deadline for this fundraising reception is July 13.
